Some models have it coming straight at Savannah. The 3 is gassed up and I’m going to find a parking deck to hide the M3 in.

Wisconsin looks safe.

I’m heading up to Atlanta for this shit. I don’t want to have a Category 4 hit me head on.

I’m headed to my parents on Friday.

I recall seeing some 3-4 story parking decks in downtown Savannah, York & Jefferson, iirc?

I’ll probably stay on the boat in S.E GA. She’s on the hard and weathered Mathew undamaged. This’ll be worse but were getting ready for it - full water and batteries, sails and awnings off, extra stands and such. Lots happening all over the yard to prepare.

I’m in South Florida. I don’t want to be here, which is why my family in Atlanta invited us over.

You can leave it with me... I’m on high ground.

You can leave the M3 in athens with me. It’ll be safe

I live in metro Atlanta and my house has never dealt with flooding or tornadoes. That’s the issue with coastal areas; they’re more prone to flooding. I have a friend from Savannah and she had to evacuate for Matthew last year. Hopefully you and your stuff stay safe!

Also the airport.

There was that tornado that hit Roswell in 2006.

We’ll keep it warm and dry. In all seriousness though, I’m freaking out because of all the posts (and memes) that I’ve seen that say Irma is the length of Florida. I really don’t want it to hit Athens even though it won’t. Just bad storms but post Harvey, I’m not taking any risks

I’d find a nice hotel with generators, big garage and hide out.

My parents live north of ATL. My sister who also lives in Savannah is also headed home. We’re planning on making hurricanes at home.

Yeah, get out early and head north. I have a friend and his family heading up to stay with us in ATL.

I’m not too worried about athens. Although, drainage is a problem in the short term. In all my time out here, big storm systems tend to not hit hard.

The only model you should be following is the Euro model. Whatever that one is predicting is what is more than likely going to happen.

Good luck to ya. I work at Wally World part time and we’re out of water, propane, soup, can openers and many other things. It’s weird to see so much empty shelf space in such a big store. The 4 o’clock truck won’t arrive ‘til midnight tonight and it has no water on it. Yea, if you can, go west, young folks (or to ATL). I95 at the GA-FL line is packed and there is already no gas at most stations. I75 may be an alternative.

I’m going from Tallahassee to Atlanta tomorrow night. I don’t want to deal with the traffic and gas tonight. Plus, people can’t drive for their lives in times like these.
